Are you craving sugar like I am?
Sugar, the Bain of my existence. I know it is bad for me and that is why I have put my feet down and is in the process of eliminating it from my diet. It is not easy, but I am committed to overcoming the struggle. Sugar has controlled me for a long time, maybe since I was born. You see, I was born in a family of pastry chefs and bakers and if I can remember I have always been addicted to sugar. I’ll take sugar in my tea and coffee, I love cakes, cookies and ice cream is my go-to comfort food; that explain to me being overweight. But no more am I going to be a slave to the madness. Are you craving sugar like I am? Let me tell you what I am doing about it.
Once I decided I wanted to eliminate my constant urge for sugar I started weening it out of my diet. I first remove the obvious by not adding it to coffee or tea and no soda, by the following week I was able to stop with pasties, but this was the hardest for me. It took me three weeks to be able to walk past a cookie and succumbing to the temptation. At this time, I have taken the bread out of my diet and I am fine-tuning my eating plan. I have eliminated a lot of foods with added sugar, like ketchup and salad dressings, etc.
